1,651 dogs sterilized in 2024 thanks to your support!
Baja Dogs Sterilizations continues to focus on our mission of bringing free sterilization campaigns to underserved neighborhoods throughout La Paz in 2024. This year, over 1,000 dogs were sterilized, bringing our total to date to 6,424 dogs sterilized, thanks to your support!
We sterilized 1,651 pets throughout the year with the help of our veterinary partners, Dr. Mario and his team, Dr. Fernando and his team, and Dr. Alan and his team; our incredible team of volunteers, and of course we could not do any of this without our amazing donors. We are so excited and grateful to be able to continue this important work!

In October, we completed 150 sterilizations, including 44 in our main campaign held at a local school in Chametla, just outside of downtown La Paz, and another 38 sterilizations completed in 2 "mini"campaigns. Another 68 free sterilization vouchers for in-office surgeries were redeemed throughout the month, for our total of 150 sterilizations completed. You can see pictures from our October campaign here:
In November, we returned to Chametla for our main campaign due to the great need there, and completed another 63 sterilizations, with another 79 vouchers for in-office sterilizations redeemed for a total of 142 sterilizations completed. You can see pictures from our November campaign here:
As we continue to emphasize, our "free"sterilization campaigns are NOT FREE TO US. Our amazing veterinary partners offer us a discounted rate for their work, and we are very grateful for their time and commitment. But, each sterilization surgery costs us $30 USD, and our monthly sterilization campaigns cost us between $4,000 and $5,000 a month. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes an impact.
